- Species: Artificial apparition, but his core soul and personality are from the remaining fragments of the original Sousuke Mitsuba.
Appearance
Mitsuba's canonically described as cute and effeminated to the point that it was one of the many reasons why the original Mitsuba was ostracized and picked on when he was alive. He has long eyelashes and a beauty mark under his left eye.
There are subtle hints that his right eye and right hand are disfigured due to the accident that causes his death, and the original Mitsuba covers them up to maintain his cute image. This is supported by the fact that he has scars at the back of his neck, which are hidden by his scarf. The artificial Mitsuba was simply born with these marks as Tsukasa created him based on his image of Mitsuba's predecessor.
Regular Form
Mitsuba looks identical to the original Mitsuba. They wear the same pink sweater and custom uniform. The key difference is that his scarf is deep red in contrast to the original.
Third Mystery Form
Upon gaining the title as the Third Mystery, Mitsuba acquires a secondary form, he wears a tattered hoodie covered with eyes and adorns different kinds of golden locks and trinkets. His hands are replaced with talons, he also has an exoskeleton which he can control as a pair of extra limbs.
Demeanor & Attitude
...Is what Kou Minamoto had described the original Sousuke Mitsuba, and his successor has taken many of his traits that it's easy to think that he had been revived rather than thinking a clone had taken his place. Mitsuba mirrors his predecessor to a degree, he can be cocky and somewhat mean spirited, but his motivations and mindset are somewhat different from Sousuke Mitsuba's.
for the most part Mitsuba acts like any 14 years old boy should be acting, he's rude and he thinks he knows everything. He can be rather foul-mouthed and has a penchant for talking about dirty things. And most of it is genuine, but there's a certain aspect of him that always seems rather curious and envious of humans, enough that parts of his front are to keep up the charade of a "normal human". He has also been described as a made-up monster fascinated by humans.
Remnants of the original still lingers in him as his core personality, so Mitsuba's general response to things that scare or worry him is with being uncouth and mouthy. He admits to himself that he's an apparition that does not and will not understand humans, but he's shown to care for them despite not understanding morality. His inability to understand human morality has made him be as equally underhanded and selfish as any other spirit, but like any other spirit, he graciously accepts defeat if outsmarted.
He's shown to be rather unsure of his place in the world despite his position, he'll latch onto anyone that gives him a chance-- even those who scare him.
Voice
Voice sample. His voice is soft and sweet, but it can go extremely high pitch or deep depending his mood. The higher it goes usually the whinier he is.Magic & Telepathy
Mitsuba is a supernatural being made from multiple weak supernatural spirits stitched together, his core soul however is the remnants of Sousuke Mitsuba. He's the apparition equivalent to Frankenstein's monster. However, after being force-fed the previous No.3's heart, he acquires the former Mystery's abilities. As the current No.3, he makes up one of the seven pillars that guards the bridge between the world of the living, the Near Shore, and the supernatural world known as The Far Shore.
Currently, he's strong but his abilities tenfold if he's within his domain, Hell of Mirrors. He's able to command disembodied hands that could come out on any surface of the school. Anyone that wanders into Hell of Mirrors may be susceptible to its mirrors reading their heart, it will manifest the person's deep fears should the mirrors deem their heart as impure. The Yorishiro or 'the core' of Hell of Mirrors is currently the same as the previous No.3 as Mitsuba's personality has yet to fully influence the boundary.
Being part of the Seven Mysteries however doesn't make Mitsuba impervious to magic or mindreading, he could be affected if he's vulnerable. As a supernatural he's also susceptible to the living creating rumors around him. If word of mouth passes around enough, false rumors will twist and exaggerate the worst points of his identity.
